Mrs. Hawazen Metair is a Lecturer of Management Information Systems in the College of Business Administration (CBA) and the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS). She also serves as the student advisor for the Marketing Department.

In 2015, she was recognized as the MIS Outstanding Teacher of the Year.  She continually challenges her students and sets high expectations for them.

She began her Technical career at the May Department Stores in St. Louis, MOs, USA as a Network analyst. She moved to Riyadh and worked for the Saudi American Bank (Technology Group) as MIS/Compliance Officer. 2002 she shifted from retailer/banking to education when she joined Prince Sultan University in Riyadh as a computer Science Lecturer. She also worked in Effat University in Jeddah. She joined the UBT in 2015.

Ms. Hawazen Metair earned a Master in Electronic Commerce from Dalhousie University in 2010. She graduated in 1999 with a BS in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) in Edwardsville, IL, USA. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in King Abdulaziz University. Her research is in Knowledge Management and Information Security.

Mrs. Metair has lived abroad in USA and Canada and has traveled all over the world. Her diversified background gave her the edge in her knowledge and solid foundation in teaching and communication skills.
