Welcome to the University of Business and Technology (UBT)

The University of Business and Technology (UBT) Training Center is a unified platform that originated from the integration of the Center for Learning, Teaching and Development with the Center for Executive Education, and serves as a focal point for the development of the professional skills of faculty, students, and staff.

This center is dedicated to promoting excellence in teaching and developing administrative capabilities, which contributes significantly to improving the quality of education at UBT and enhancing student achievements through its targeted programs and initiatives.

Inspired by Mark Van Doren’s adage, "The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery," the UBT Training Center embraces and propels the 'UBT way' of Purposeful Learning and Teaching. This philosophy is characterized by:

Offerings of the UBT Training Center
New faculty orientation program

The program is designed to welcome and integrate new instructors into our vibrant academic community. This comprehensive program provides essential information on our teaching philosophy, curriculum structure, and administrative procedures. The center organizes separate workshops to ensure that new faculty members feel fully prepared and confident to begin their teaching journey at UBT, fostering an environment of excellence and innovation in education. The Center offers a weekly of developmental workshops

related to learning and teaching for faculty members. These include programs on innovative pedagogical approaches, integrating technology into teaching, enhancing discipline-specific content, and cultivating academic leadership skills. Aligned with the Center's foundational principle of elevating teaching skills, these opportunities are critical in promoting the UBT's ethos of Purposeful Learning and Teaching.

Student Programs

Dedicated to student success and career readiness, the Center provides programs that equip students to become proficient professionals and future leaders. Tailored to current market demands and educational best practices, these programs ensure that students are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the modern world. The training center offers Professional Certificates programs for all senior students as 12 training hours in specialized program followed by assessments.

UBT Staff Development Programs

Reflecting our commitment to the professional growth of UBT's staff, we offer targeted development programs aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, leadership capabilities, and administrative skills. These programs cater to the changing landscape of higher education administration, supporting staff in their career advancement and professional development.

Executive Education and International Certifications

Continuing the esteemed tradition of UBT Executive Education, the Center provides advanced international certification and qualification programs for business executives. These programs, focusing on quality and performance, cater to professionals from diverse corporations and are designed to foster leadership and entrepreneurial acumen necessary for career progression.

Peer Observation Program (POP)

This program plays a crucial role in ensuring that our faculty members maintain their leading edge in educational innovation and excellence.

At UBT, the upper management always thrives on hiring top calibers in their fields. We enjoy a diverse body of faculty members and high-quality staff in different fields. Making good use of our own people’s knowledge and disseminating it to the rest of the University members will enhance the working environment and support the culture of knowledge sharing in different fields. Moreover, it will aid in achieving one of the primary objectives, which is to create programs that foster knowledge exchange and sharing among faculty members.

Compensation:

All participants will be compensated with community service hours. The direct supervisor determines the amount.
